german puff pancakes


I can't seem to find where I have posted this online in the past, so I will put it here so you all can enjoy it as well. Waiting on Ying's photos of our morning together... will post them here as soon as I get them.

German Puff Pancake

Heat Oven 400F.

1 Tbsp Butter
2 Egg
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Flour

  1. Melt butter in a pie pan.
  2. Beat together egg & milk until bubbly in medium bowl.
  3. Add flour to egg/milk, mix until nearly smooth.
  4. Pour into pan with melted butter. Do not stir.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes at 400F... until puffy & has toasted edges.
Top with any of these: lemon juice & powdered sugar; fruit; maple syrup.
