What a lovely surprise!
A phone call from a friend in distress...
well not actually 'in distress', but
she {ak} was arriving via train to visit a mutual friend {rj}
who also happened to just be in town for a few days from England,
and she had some time to kill and was looking for some peeps to hang out with.
Lucky for us I was able to answer the call. . .
pick her up from the train station. . .
and spend the next five hours with her!
My husband & I together with our most-excellent* neighbors {Mr&Mrs.N} from across the way managed to squeeze ourselves into one of our vehicles and make the short trek across the Willamette River to the SE side of town to indulge ourselves in a delicious happy hour experience at Nostrana (Literally translated as "ours"). {Rj} met up with us and together we had the best time catching up while enjoying the excellent food & atmosphere of the place. Wish my camera would have captured more of this evening. {Mrs.N} has this crazy video clip of our dear visiting friend {ak} grooving to the music as we were exiting the place. This evening was truly nostrana pleasure!
Small flakes of snow were falling as we drove back to our respective places.
