favorite german-puff pancake

2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
Powdered sugar
Lemon juice

Heat oven to 400 degrees (must be hot). Melt 2 tablespoons butter in quiche pan in oven (ceramic works best, glass is second best). Beat eggs, add flour. Mix well (use wire whip) until smooth. Add milk and beat again. Pour into hot melted butter in pan. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown on edges (like a large popover the edges will be puffy). Remove from pan onto plate. Sprinkle with lemon juice (2 tablespoons) and powdered sugar. Cut and eat.

This delicious treat is an excellent meal breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

a way above the chimney tops...

Just wanted to post a few photos from our plane ride from Austin to Portland!

That's where you'll find me...

Some where over the rainbow...

Way up high!

Birds fly over the rainbow...
Why then, o why can't I?

flowers & plane tickets!

Today is our 4th month anniversary and my DH sweetly brought me home a small bundle of white flowers (very thoughtful considering that we are headed out of town tomorrow for a long-weekend to surprise my folks in Portland!). We cooked a delicious meal of spaghetti for ourselves and our additional guest (someone we had been trying to have over to dinner for some time now). It was a sweet meal. Yay! for love! *grin*

visiting a newbie

We got to go visit our newest little nephew today. While we were there the Diller family arrived to bring Jed & Grace some food. Here's a sweet photo of Erik, W, the three Diller-doodles (Ian, Eliza, & Caroline), and myself. I hadn't seen these little munchins for so long! They're all growing so fast.

brand new bundle of boy

There is a new Fehrenbach that joined us just today. He's a precious healthy fella with a cute tuft of dark hair (might actually be curly like his Uncle E's). I love his little toes and fingers and his little button nose. He's a strong little man already with a healthy appetite. Can't wait for you to meet him. He's sure a sweet delight.
